TEXAS NEVI CHARGING STATION

SCOPE

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is leading a nationwide effort to expand electric vehicle infrastructure through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. This initiative aims to establish a reliable network of EV charging stations every 50 miles across the country, accelerating the transition to clean transportation. As part of this effort, Impower Connections, an EV charging station contractor based in Weatherford, Texas, was awarded a DOE contract to build NEVI-compliant charging stations throughout Texas.

Our wireless team partnered with Impower to provide design and utility coordination for multiple locations, including the first NEVI station in Texas, located in Happy, TX. Approved in June 2024, the project moved swiftly through the design phase, with our team completing the drawings in just three months. Construction was successfully completed in December 2024, culminating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark this milestone.

This project represents a significant step in expanding EV infrastructure, and we are proud to have played a role in bringing Texas’ first NEVI EV charging station to life. Thanks to our team’s outstanding efforts, we have secured multiple new projects with Impower to develop additional charging stations in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas. As the demand for EV infrastructure grows, we remain committed to supporting the future of sustainable transportation.
