Foresite Group worked with Charter Development Company and American Campus Communities to provide professional civil and traffic engineering services for this new two phase 5.54-acre residential project consisting of 182 units, a clubhouse, two courtyards, and a multi-story parking garage. Other aspects of design include associated parking lots, a bus transit stop, and on-site utility infrastructure improvements. Challenges our team overcame include coordination between multiple parties to successfully work within the required timeline for the project’s grand opening in Fall 2015. Additionally, the location of the five-story parking deck presented an obstacle to detention. A concrete vault was added to the garage to solve this problem, requiring coordination with Foresite Group’s Structural Engineering team.
