EASTERN REGIONAL GREENWAY

SCOPE

The Eastern Regional Infrastructure project in Gwinnett County, a $125 million initiative, encompasses a five-mile area along the Gwinnett/Barrow County line and includes the development of approximately five miles of new public trails, two trailheads, upgraded and expanded water and sewer services. Named the Eastern Regional Greenway, the trail will connect to systems extending eastward into Barrow County and beyond, with future links to the Piedmont Pathway providing access to trails throughout the metro Atlanta region and even into Alabama. Foresite Group is providing professional services for the trail design, which includes a 5.5-mile-long trail, boardwalks for trailheads and bridges, and two trailheads.
