Foresite Group assessed the site system and accessibility elements of 48 Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) locations statewide for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) and the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC). The primary purpose of the assessment was to identify visually apparent deficiencies in the building and site systems. The evaluation included site visits to observe the buildings and site systems, interviewing personnel, and reviewing available maintenance systems, design and construction documents and plans. In addition to the completion of our visual evaluation, the assessment team interviewed local facility managers, administration, and staff from each of the 48 facilities. A Facilities Conditions Assessment report was developed, consisting of recommendations for remediation and associated cost estimates.
