Foresite Group was contracted by the Georgia Department of Education to assess the site system and accessibility elements of three Deaf and Blind Schools to identify visually apparent deficiencies. Evaluation included site visits to observe buildings and systems, interviewing building management and maintenance personnel, and reviewing available maintenance systems, and construction documents/plans. A Facilities Conditions Assessment report was developed, consisting of recommendations for remediation and associated cost estimates. This critical information will be used by GaDOE to decide whether to proceed with remediation improvements or possibly construct a new consolidated facility.
